The wait is over! The Jericho Sound: A Devotional Journey to Victory is now available.
Rend Collective is more than just a band; they are a movement. Hailing from the rugged coastline of Northern Ireland, this folk-infused worship collective has redefined contemporary Christian music with their energetic, joy-filled sound and deep-rooted devotion to authentic faith. Known for their raw, organic instrumentation and uncontainable passion for Jesus, Rend Collective has inspired believers worldwide to embrace worship as a celebration rather than a solemn ritual.
Rend Collective was born from a desire to escape the formulaic approach to worship music. In the early 2000s, a group of friends in Bangor, Northern Ireland, gathered in homes and around bonfires, seeking a way to connect with God through music in a deeply personal and communal way. What started as an informal worship collective soon evolved into something much larger, culminating in their breakout album Organic Family Hymnal (2010), which introduced their unique brand of worship to the world.
Their name, "Rend Collective," reflects their mission: inspired by Joel 2:13, which calls for hearts to be “rent” or torn open before the Lord, they seek to lead worshippers into an honest, unfiltered relationship with God.
Rend Collective’s sound is a vibrant fusion of folk, rock, and worship, often featuring unconventional instruments like banjos, accordions, and even stomping boots. Their music carries an unmistakable Celtic influence, channeling the celebratory spirit of their Irish heritage.
While many modern worship bands lean into synth-heavy, arena-filling anthems, Rend Collective takes a different approach—crafting songs that feel just as at home around a campfire as they do in a packed church. Songs like Build Your Kingdom Here, My Lighthouse, and Rescuer (Good News) have become anthems of faith, blending infectious melodies with deeply biblical themes.
At the core of Rend Collective’s ministry is an emphasis on joy. In a world that often weighs heavy with anxiety and sorrow, they champion a theology of celebration—believing that worship should be marked by hope, freedom, and the overwhelming love of Christ. Their concerts feel less like performances and more like communal gatherings, where audiences are encouraged to dance, sing, and embrace worship with unashamed passion.
Beyond music, the group has been vocal about themes of unity, authenticity, and the need for the Church to return to the heart of worship. Their mission is clear: to remind believers that worship is not about perfection or performance, but about a real, unfiltered connection with God.

Rend Collective’s influence extends beyond music; they have redefined what worship can look like. By combining a revivalist spirit with folk-driven energy, they’ve bridged generational and denominational gaps, bringing a fresh voice to the global Church.
As they continue to tour and release new music, Rend Collective remains committed to their vision: to lead the Church in passionate, uninhibited praise and to remind believers that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
At The Jericho Sound, we celebrate music that breaks down walls and ushers people into God’s presence. Rend Collective embodies this mission, blending biblical truth with uncontainable joy. Their songs aren’t just meant to be sung—they’re meant to be lived.
